Cansaulim is a famous beach located at about 15kms. from Margao in the Mormugao taluka in south Goa. The beach is incredibly clean and tidy with such beautiful Golden sand. One can see a lot of palm groves along the shore and for accommodation, there are a number of hotels and restaurants in Cansaulim. Also, a number of beach shacks are found here that serve some good tasty dishes and drinks.

Cansaulim Beach is an extension of Velsao beach. The beach has clean white sands and lots of palm trees. It is located on the northernmost end of Velsao beach. The beach lies at a distance of 10 km from Vasco city and 16 km from the city of Margao.
The large stretches of white sands give the beach a deserted look. From the beach one can see the Zuari industrial estate towering up on a hill on the right side of the beach. This beach stretch comprising of the neighboring beaches Velsao, Arossim till Mobor is the second largest beach stretch in India. Cansaulim beach can be reached by bus from both, Vasco and Margao.
There are plenty of options for accommodation and food close by at Majorda and Colva. Arossim, Cuelim, and Cansaulim beach consortium form a formidable stretch of beaches which is considered as the second-longest stretch of beach in India. The Cansaulim beach situated at around 16 Km from Margao is a vast stretch of pristine beach that is mostly secluded, however well served by the local restaurants and shacks which cater to the needs of relaxing tourists.
The palm groves along the coast provide a perennial green roof which is a respite for those who had enough of the sunshine. Situated near the Cansaulim railway station is situated nearby and the sound of trains whistling by is the only occasional disturbance to relaxing tourists.
