Hansa beach is a scenic beach of Goa. It is located close to the naval base, towards Campall in southern half of Goa. Hansa is popular as an extremely clean beach owing to its secluded nature. This pristine beach is not like any other regular public or commercial beach in Goa or any where in India. The beach is restricted by the India Navy Wing due to its strategic location. Hansa beach is close to the significant Indian naval installations in the area. Therefore, the beach is looked after by the Indian Navy administration. The Naval authorities regularly clean the beach to make sure it remains clean and tidy all the time. As the beach falls under the administrative powers of the Indian Naval unit of INS Hansa, there are only few occasions when tourists and general public are permitted to use some parts of this beach by the naval authorities. is believed that Hansa’s crystal clear water is safe for swimming and is free from the flowing currents. And its long stretch of the sand is best for long walks. Though Hansa beach is not accessible to the public or tourist in general, but you can get permission to use a small portion of the beach, if at all the patrolling sentry is found in good mood. Perhaps, the pure beauty of the Hansa beach can only be accessed and explored in case the patrolling sentry allows you the permission to enter the area. However, the families of naval personnel are usually allowed access to the Hansa beach. In fact, the Indian Navy has a strong presence in all over Goa. It literally controls the airport of Goa and it also has its own flying squadron which is positioned right at Goa.

When you are moving from the Sancole beach towards Campall in the Southern Goa, you will come across a long stretch of beach that is almost secluded and uninhabited. This is what is called the Hansa Beach, popular for its picture perfect look and feel. There is no doubt that Hansa is a popular beach located in Goa. Though a secluded beach, but its clean stretch of sand makes it an ideal beach destination. The presence of the Indian Naval authorities in Hansa beach also adds importance to this beach. The Hansa beach is extremely clean and looked after by the naval administration regularly as said. If at all you are granted the permission to enter the Hansa beach, you would be able to experience the pristine beauty and a long stretch of sand almost isolated.
