‘Looking for a posh place on Morjim Beach which plays retro music instead of trance? Head for the restaurant and bar at Montego Bay, a shack-like place with different alfresco seating areas right on the beach. The food complements the picture-postcard setting and is very modestly priced. There is surprisingly a large number of Goan pork and beef dishes. They serve an amazing Goan Sausage Pulao, made with the fiery red Goan sausage pork meat which is normally kept pickled. The Sausage Pulao here is one of the best you can expect in Goa, with fine-grained rice and huge bits of sausage meat perfectly fused. The portions, too, are huge. Try also the Pomfret Recheado and Roast Beef Tongue, thin slices of beef tongue roasted in the green Goan asad masala and then fried. They are some vegetarian dishes as well. The Chinese food is good, but the pastas avoidable. ‘Montego Bay Beach Village’.
